If you send us a request via the configurator or contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email address and your details on the desired system) solely to handle and answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. Telling us how you heard about us is optional. We also use this answer to count which channels requests come through (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
If you order a voucher, we store your name, your email address, the type and amount of the voucher and, if you provide them, who it is for and your greeting. We need this to process the order, send you the voucher and check it when it is redeemed (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Because vouchers and their payment are part of our business records, we keep this information for as long as tax and commercial law require (up to ten years, Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).
On every system page you can have the system sent to you by email. We only use your address for this one email and do not store it (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). To stop anyone filling other people's inboxes, the number of these emails per address and connection is briefly limited; the server keeps this in memory for one day at most.
If a system cannot be ordered at the moment, you can ask to be notified. We then store your address, the system and the language of the page. First you get an email to confirm. As soon as the system can be ordered again, you get exactly one email, then we delete the entry. Unconfirmed entries are deleted after 7 days, all others after 12 months at the latest. You can remove yourself at any time via the link in the confirmation email. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
For customers taking part in “Refer a friend” we store name, email address, the personal code and which purchases came about through the code, so that we can pay the reward (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We do not store bank details for the transfer on the website. If someone enters a code in their request, we store it with the request and can see who referred them. The referrer only learns from us that a reward is due, not what the friend bought.
On our link page (yk-systems.de/links) we count how often each button is clicked and whether the visit came from Instagram or LinkedIn. We only store the day, target, source and number, no IP address and no cookie. This does not allow any conclusions about you.
When you use the search, your search term is sent to our server so we can find matching pages. We do not store it, not even when nothing is found. On the results page it appears in the address (yk-systems.de/en/suche?q=...) so you can reload or share the page.
When you write to us via yk-systems.de/en/support, we store your name, email address, the type of request, your PC's build number, your description and any photos you send. We only use this to handle your request and to settle claims under the legal guarantee (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The photos are not publicly accessible and are deleted 90 days after the request is closed, the request itself three years after it is closed, because guarantee claims can exist for that long. You receive a confirmation of receipt by email, and no advertising.
The type test is evaluated by your browser. Your answers are not transmitted to us. The result lives in a short code in the address of the result page, which does not allow any conclusions about you. If you have the result sent to you by email, we only use your address for this one email and do not store it (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). You only subscribe to the newsletter if you tick the separate box for it and confirm the subscription.
If you choose “Remember on this device”, your browser stores the result code in its local storage so that you can find it again on the test's start page. This stays on your device, and you can remove it again with “Stop remembering”.
When you complete the test, we count anonymously which of the 16 types came out. Only one number per type is stored, nothing about you, no time, no IP address and no cookie. From this we derive what percentage of participants have the same type (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, although strictly speaking, in the absence of any personal reference, this is not processing of personal data).
If you withdraw from a contract using the “Withdraw from contract” button, we store your name, email address, your details on the contract, any message and the time of receipt. We need this data to confirm receipt and to process the withdrawal (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with § 356a BGB) and keep it for as long as the statutory retention periods require.
Your request data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected and no statutory retention obligations prevent this.
This website runs on a server (VPS) operated by us at IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, with the server located in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS. With every access, technically necessary server log data (IP address, time, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser type) is processed to ensure secure operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). This log data is deleted after 7 days at the latest.
This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising and does not include any third-party services for audience measurement. The font used is served locally from our server, so there is no connection to third-party servers. When logging in to the protected administration area, a technically necessary session cookie is set.
So that the notice about our newsletter does not keep reappearing, your browser remembers that you closed it (until you close the tab) or that you subscribed. This information stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us. The language you see is determined only by the address (with or without /en), not by a cookie.
What your browser remembers this way: that you closed the newsletter notice or the news banner, that you already marked a guide as helpful, and the code of your type test result if you choose to save it. The legal basis is section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG: these entries are strictly necessary for the features to work the way you use them yourself. The entries themselves are not transmitted to us and not used for analysis. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
Your personal data is not transferred to third parties unless this is necessary to fulfil the contract or you have expressly consented.
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you can object to this processing under Art. 21 GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
