A YKON is a PC that we have put together, built, set up and checked ourselves. Not an anonymous box from an electronics store, but a system with a number, a report and a real contact person behind it.
Why we give our systems a name
The components in a YKON are not made by us: the processor is from AMD, the graphics card from NVIDIA, the power supply from a manufacturer we trust. That is true of every prebuilt PC, even from the big brands.
The difference lies in what happens next: which parts are chosen to go together, how cleanly they are fitted, whether the system stays stable under load, how Windows is set up and whether someone answers you when something is unclear three months later.
That part is our work. And because we stand behind it, it gets a name: YKON.

Chosen for the purpose, not the margin
The components match each other and what you plan to do. If a cheaper part is enough for your use, we fit the cheaper part.
Cleanly built
Tidy cable management, well thought-out airflow, correctly mounted cooling. That keeps temperatures down and lifespan up.
Windows cleanly installed
Current system, current drivers, no pre-installed adware. You switch it on and can work or play.
Tested under load for 24 hours
Before delivery, every system runs a full day in a stress test. Whatever fails, fails with us, not with you on the second evening.
Build number and test report
Every YKON gets its own number. It is on the system, in the test report and on your invoice, so you can trace what was fitted and what was checked.
The badge
How to recognise a YKON
Every finished system carries our badge with its build number, for example YKON-E-2608-014: line, year, month, serial number.
It is not decoration. The number links your device to the test report you receive together with the invoice. If you write to us in two years, this number is enough for us to know what is inside your PC.

Looking ahead
YKON Desk
Where the name comes from.
YKON was originally not meant as the name for our PCs, but for a desk. Our very first idea was a desk that is the case itself: motherboard, graphics card and fans sit inside the desk, with a top you can look through.
We keep working on it, step by step and without rushing. First a desk the parts fit into cleanly, with power from the desk, lighting and a button to switch it on. We will say when it is ready once there is a prototype.
